Each section may present many questions in one page or one question per page depending on the length of the section. After you fill in your responses for each question click on Next button on the right navigation panel. This will save your responses for the current question(s) and move you to the next question.
    • If some of your answers were invalid, or if you forgot to answer some questions, an error message will appear and you will be directed to the question to correct your response.
  3. Saving your questionnaire « Back to Top
    • We recommend that you answer the Social Capital Questionnaire in a single session. However, if you need to interrupt for any reason, you can save your answers by clicking Save on the right navigation panel and finish it later before the deadline.

Reports « Back to Top

You will be able to view your reports online only after you have completed the questionnaire and your group administrator has enabled Viewing Reports online for your group. You can view your reports by clicking on the Green background links below your survey's welcome message.

  1. Standard Personal Report « Back to Top
    • This is the standard feedback report about your network which you can view atfer your survey completion. Your group administrator will need to enable your reports before you can view them online. If you are a participant for a group programme within INSEAD or externally, you can contact your group administrator to enquire about your report status. People who pay online should have automatic access to the report after one working day. If this is not your case, please contact us at applications.sg@insead.edu.
    • Click here to view a sample personal report.
  2. Personalised Report « Back to Top
    • The Personalized Report provides you with extra insight into your network by allowing you to modify various criteria used in your Standard Personal Report. While the standard personal report compares your network with a fixed reference group, a personalized report allows you to define your own reference group based on demographic criteria such as age, sex, industry, nationality, or type of job.  By allowing you to tailor your reference group, a personalized report can help you assess better the strengths and developmental areas of your network.
    • Once you have selected the various criteria shown below, you can use the tab Click here to check number of matches. This will report how many people in our system match the criteria you selected. The more stringent the criteria you defined, the smaller the reference group (although this changes as new people enter our system). Typically, we recommend a minimum of 20 people to have a meaningful reference group. If you are satisfied with the selected criteria, then you can go ahead and click on the Generate Report button to get your report.
    • If you wish to print or save the criteria, click on Download Selected Criteria. A MS-Word document with details about the criteria you selected appears with a unique file number. Save this file to your disk for future reference.
  3. Interactive Report « Back to Top
    • The Interactive Report allows you to act on your network and to visualize the effects of your actions in terms of the shape and the structure of your network. When you click on the Interactive Report button, the following panel appears:
    • The panel above shows two visualizations of your network as shown in your Personal report. The Network Graph on the left shows the structure of your network. The graph on the left compares your network with those of a reference group based on your density and centralization scores (See your Standard Personal Report for an explanation on how to interpret these scores). You can right-click on either picture to Print or Save them to your computer.
    • The Control Panel below the graphs allows you to modify different aspects of your network. Specifically, you can add new contacts, delete a contact, change the strength of relationships between you and a contact and group your contacts based on different criteria (sex, nationality, rank, etc.) As you execute one of these actions, the style and structure of your network change. Your interventions also change various properties of your network (such as your diversity indexes). To see those changes, click on the Network Properties tab.
    • Note: You need Java Run-Time Environment (JRE) 1.6.0 or to see the interactive graph. You can use the link below to download the latest version of JRE, install it and restart your web-browser inorder to see the interactive graph.
