Welcome to INSEAD 18th Business Venture Competition
The INSEAD Business Venture Competition, founded in the year 2000, is an important part of INSEAD’s entrepreneurship vision.
- The panel of judges comprises of highly distinguished early-stage investors and entrepreneurs
- The prize purse is useful at the start of the new venture and many winners go on to successfully set up their companies
- Participants and audience members learn how to pitch venture ideas in front of real investors
Above all winners of the competition gain credibility and exposure for their ventures.
The competition is often referred as the Lister Vickery Competition in honour of the memory of the late Lister Vickery (MBA 66), who in 1982 succeeded in convincing INSEAD to offer its first entrepreneurship elective course.
Two competitions are held every year corresponding to the two MBA classes. Although most entries come from students who do the New Business Ventures and Business Plan Workshop electives, the competition is open to all MBA participants, regardless of whether they take an entrepreneurship course.
The Finals Day presentations will be held on Thursday, 21st May 2009 at INSEAD’s Europe Campus in Fontainebleau and are judged by a panel of five distinguished judges.
1st Prize: €10,000 2nd Prize: €3,000 3rd Prize: €2,000 |
